I guess my blog deserves a brief injection of life before I leave on a 5 week (well, 4 weeks and 1 day which will probably feel a lot more than 5 weeks anyway) rural GP attachment that will see me scrambling for every bit of internet access I can get. Given how I'm being flung into the middle of nowhere. But this post will probably be very brief since I am honestly sick of writing stuff. I have written 2 psychiatry case reports, a research proposal, intern application criteria and revamped my CV in the last 3 weeks or so, although time seems to have passed very quickly. Oh well; I'm never oriented to time nowdays. The intern application has been giving me a bit of grief. On the positive side, I actually have some stuff to fluff about, despite being worried about handing in blank documents. But all the same, it's really hard to write the stupid application. And I've been procrastinating about it and now it seems like the deadline's suddenly loomed in the near distance like a solid brick wall. Blergh. In other better news... I think I'm done with psychiatry forever!!!! Fingers crossed I don't get psychiatry ever again when I start working. Finishing the exam yesterday gave me the best feeling ever. And while walking out of the ward, a (presumably) psych patient shouted at CT (guy I carpool with) and I that 'there's lunch for you children in there!'. Ahhhh psych. I will miss you...... Not. Well, I should work on doing my app since rotation allocations are based on how we rank. Which is based on our app/grades. The thought of avoiding psych shall spur me on my mission to produce a half-decent app!!! :D 10:39 PM
