4 down 1 to go (opposite of the immediate earlier post).

Unlike that post where I was pretty happy about calc, the rest of the exams have just got progressively worse. Such that maybe the old baldie was right, and I might actually have to count lit in favour of another subject.

In particular, applicable maths yesterday was very bad. The first time I've actually found the bloody subject hard. It doesn't help that it's the major exam.

Chem was quite bad too, but in retrospect, anything looks easy compared to that monstrous applic paper. By bad, I really mean bad. The person behind me got up and left in the middle of the exam. I was so tempted to follow suit, but I couldn't. Nevertheless, it felt like flogging a dead horse. I had 10 minutes spare at the end, compared to the half hour I usually have. I didn't even get to check through.

I suppose like HW said (she was so nice. She saw me walking around with Keisha and Victoria, and she came to talk to us), everyone probably found it hard, and so we'll get scaled up. It still doesn't help because they can't scale it up that much if my raw mark was really bad :(.

Sorry Irene. Doubt I'll be able to go to melbourne at this rate.

Better start doing more physics. I only started studying for the bloody subject today, and the exam is yes, tomorrow. When I went with Keisha to ask for her test file yesterday, he was asking if we were gonna come see him today to ask questions. We didn't dare tell him we hadn't even started studying.

Bah.

1 down, 4 to go.

Calculus was surprisingly ok! Significantly easier than our mock, imho. While that's the case, there's always the possibility of stupid mistakes, though I reckon above 90 would be reasonable to expect.

Then again, I'm always disappointed. Fine, I shall lower the bar to 85, because that's what my dear brother got, and I'm hoping to beat that.

HW would be glad she checked out that question (see one of the recent posts) for me though. A very, very similar question was in today's paper, and I confidently put an empty circle at (0,0) :D.

On an utterly random note, I love Chopin's piano concertos! Been listening to both of them quite frequently while revising.

Anyway, back to calc. HW was there after our exam to find out how we went, though she'd already seen the paper (they release the papers 1.5 hours after the start of the exam). I was one of the last people out of the exam room because I take a long, long time to pack up, so I was walking down the stairs and she was already talking to the other people downstairs. And when she saw me, she immediately turned and asked me 'how was it?'. I was a bit scared... Lol.

I told her frankly that it was quite ok, but for 1 question I wasn't sure about. She asked which one, and everyone was listening because they said that if I couldn't do it, they were pretty much screwed (what rubbish). There was a general consensus it was quite strange, but I think I did get it right...

Everyone was quite happy with the exam though! There were a lot more smiles than the gloomy, half-drunken-like state we were in after the mock. Then again, it might have been due to the fact that some people had finished 2 exams (and thus a third of their exams), and that we had officially completed year 12 calculus! Woohoo!

I think I got there a bit too early though... About an hour. Lol. A bit is a gross understatement, yes. Then I started freaking out that there wasn't anyone else there and that I might have misread the timetable.

Anyway, all of us were sitting near the maths office (exams are upstairs in the maths dept) waiting when HW and CD came walking down the stairs. All of us collectively went 'ah shit'. CD then asked us if we were ready, and we were all going 'hmm... no.'. Then HW stayed for a few minutes, and talked about how she found doing the exams FUN. She hates writing them, but likes doing them. Then again, she isn't graded on them...

Then when we were going upstairs, CD came and said 'good luck guys... HAVE FUN'. I think most of us were so worried we didn't hear what he said, but I shouted 'FUN?!' after him. Sadly, he didn't hear me.

The maths teachers are strange. I mean, who finds exams fun?!

Ok, I suppose the answer to that question is maths teachers. Lol.

HW was saying that she thought the paper looked friendly, or at least friendlier than our mock (at least I didn't hyperventilate this time...). She showed it to CD, who agreed.

Anyway, came home from calc and felt physically sick in the car all of a sudden. Just had a splitting headache and felt nauseous. I then took a couple of pills and went to sleep for 2 hours (barely slept last night. Kept waking), and had a nightmare (or rather just a series of images) with lots of root2s and ln2s because my answers and the questions had a lot of those. Strange.

I can't wait for next Fri! And Sun! Though I'll probably be exhausted by then... Argh.

And I haven't even started studying for lit, which is on fri. Ah crap... I've decided to devote tomorrow to the dear subject to ensure I'll scrape a pass.

Ohoh, I got an A in lit too! Probably just by a margin... 74% turned out to be an A! Woohoo! And yes, I got As in every other subject, bringing my A tally to 11 in the past 2 years. Keisha has 13 (crazy).

Ok, shall get off now.
