YANNE LOVES YCY! (alliteration)

That was utterly random.

Anyway, there was a riot at my home this afternoon, when I was supposed to resume my job as nanny but foresaked it. There were FOUR kids on our metal swing (though they seemed to be more like in Brokeback Mountain: cowboys on bulls) and they were shouting as though they were in 'The War of the Worlds'. I couldn't stand it and ran upstairs to cowardly stick my head (actually neck, since I'm a headless chicken) into the wooden floor of my room, then into the shower. Even with the running water, I could still hear those kids fight it out to be the one with the most powerful lungs. Good Lord.

And their parents (especially mom) are those 'I am not welcomed here but who cares?' kind of relatives. I got rather irritated by the incessant questionings of the mom. Examples:

A) Woman: Why are you so tanned? Been swimming or surfing?
Me: Uh... Swimming. (A downright lie, since I haven't swum for about 3 years before going with Sera in Dec)

B) Kaepoh ah-soh (rhymes): What school were you from?
(Before I could answer)
Ahsoh: Chij?
Male ahsoh: You were from the primary school right?
Me: Yes, but I went to Nanyang...
Both: Wow... Nanyang (you could hear the wistful echoes of that holy word around the room)
Ahsoh: Who's the principal of Ij primary?
Me: (incredulous look sprawled on face) Mrs Magdalene Bheem.
Her: Bing (or something like that?)? Chinese name?
*me trying hard not to laugh*
Me: *reasonably straight face* No... Bheem.
Her: B-H-E-E-M *moves index finger around in air). Why's her name so weird?
Me: *how would I know look* I don't know... I think she has an American husband (just made some bullshit up).

Amusing and exasperating, ain't it?

Apparently I wasn't the only one rather agitated, for my mom made some stupid excuse that we were going to our gran's place (it was 3 pm on a glorious afternoon, and we were due at gran's place for DINNER) and that really sorry, *ultra sweet voice and mega walt smile* you have to go now. I was busy mouthing 'good riddance' and prancing up and down upstairs. I paid for my sin by nearly slipping on the wet bathroom floor.

Waited for my parents and brother to shower and dress up, then we went to my grandaunt's house. Poor woman was alone at home with her maid. I must say that the mugs she served us in were rather adorable though (assorted disney patterns).

Dinner at my gran's house proved to be more than dinner but a feast, though practically everything was fried: Stir fried veg (FRIED. Fine... But I didn't really get to taste it for it was at the far end of the table. Sad.), chicken nuggets, prawn fritters, fried vermicelli, steamed and deep fried fish and good ol' soup. Also, for tradition's sake, we tried the yusheng thingum. Was quite alright... Thus, dinner was both a mix of the East and the West. My gran and aunt really wanted my brother and I to put on more weight (my brother can: he's 1.78 and only 40+kg. I CANT.) for they packed us off with the extra nuggets and prawns.

We played a little cards, and I won $2 while my brother won $10. Damn. It was more for the fun of it, for we only bet an average of 50cents (yes, yes. *nods head sagely*).

I'm rather tired now... Shall go for a bath, and tomorrow I'm going out with the clique (meaning yanne and Jiasin)! I don't know if I should blow my remaining money on a new bag, for my other one's (von dutch) wearing out... Arrgh. And I really need a bigger bag for stuff that I've to bring around (foldable umbrella, water bottle, at times a jacket, pen, paper etc). Damn...

And I'm currently wondering if I should post chapter 6 yet, or make you all wait in nervous anticipation, gripping onto the handles of your chairs till your eyes pop out and your knuckles turn white. *evil laugh* I'm your father so evil.

Just an update on the day.

My parents just had to drag me out of bed at 9AM when we'd slept at nearly 1AM last night. Are they trying to follow the monks' ways of only sleeping 8 hours a day to keep healthy and have long lives?

So we made our way to church, me with a book hidden in my black and white von dutch bag and a packet of gummi bears to avoid being socially inept when we went to visit our relatives later. Well, fell asleep during the sermon (the priest sounded vaguely like pavarotti).

We then went to my mom's friend's house somewhere in the East, then headed to my gran's (dad's side) home. It seemed like I didn't need a book for my aunt's mango tree was in full bloom and she set my brother and I to work climbing the tree for the riper mangoes. The tree was rather thin and tall, thus my brother being the more vertically blessed one climbed it. We only got about 3 mangoes and dropped tons of small ones. And my dad should seriously take lessons from Ms Chang: The mango kind of slipped between his hands (which are at least 5 cm wide each: yes, like King Kong's. After all, he was born in the year of the Monkey) when my brother dropped it just from above his head.

Had lunch, then the SMALL KIDS STARTED POURING IN. It's not raining men but kids. Goodness knows why, they were exercising their powerful lungs by both shouting and throwing up (apparently one of them was sick: I hope it wasn't from motion sickness from sitting on our metal swing, but it's their own fault; they nearly made our poor swing overturn). Then they all decided to wipe their oily and stained hands on everything they could see: be it the switches on the fans, sliding doors, the sofa, the staircase etc. At least the forensics guys would be glad if there was a crime commited.

Had dinner, then here I am! Blargh. I'm dead tired though... And my mom's gonna make me work again tomorrow. Packing of my afore mentioned closure prohibitive wardrobe. Damn...

And my dad broke the record of greeting smses! He got about 15 at one shot, and the smses are still pouring in... I'm sure he's at least got 25 already. Grr.

Apparently one of my relatives said that I'd put on a little weight and looked better. I was rather tempted to say that they were even more horizontally gifted than I was (there are quite a few bacholer/bacholerettes in the family), but they all seemed rather pissed for I didn't wanna get involved with their small talk and merely sat daydreaming, timing my 'umms', 'ahhs' and 'oks'. Practically everyone of them came and asked 'how's australia?' and all I said was 'ok', for what more is there to say? 'Oh, the school really stinks. The principal's drunk, the teachers are so lazy; they only sit there and snooze off everyday'. Right... And my gran kind of caught onto my line of 'the school over there's a waste of money', resulting in her proclaiming it to everyone. Talk about copyrights.

And I must say that my mom would have to declare bankruptcy had I bothered to sue her for copyrights. She kept stealing the little witty remarks I made and proudly claiming them as her own. For example, my gran was drinking some alcohol, and this irritating cousin of mine asked if she was drunk. My gran then said that if she were, this cousin would be the first she would throttle up. I then muttered 'drunken fists' under my breath, and my mom then said it to everyone. Plagarism indeed.

That's all I suppose.

9:30 PM

I've just checked IMDb for the ratings of Brokeback Mountain, and lo and behold, next to the blue font 'Singapore' was R21. Unbelieveable, but it's none of my business: I can still watch it in Aus. *evil laugh* That's if I get back though...

*shrugs* Shan't speak of such evils during the Lunar New Year. I'm currently feeling rather digestively challenged due to the amounts of food I've had forced down my throat mercilessly by my mom and gran. And for some reason, I just felt so tired in church this morning, I fell asleep and somehow dreamt about last year's LSC (the crisis), and how I was challenging myself to a game of checkers when Ng came in. Freaky.

I've realised that I've been having countless flashbacks, some of which I myself can't even remember. Perhaps it's just a side effect from the depression I'm going through. For one, I'm deciding if I really wanna go back there. More or less, it's decided that I don't, but really, do I have a choice? Secondly, it's the usual 'what's the meaning of life' and 'society' issues. Lastly, I've been feeling rather sick: both physically and psychologically.

If I do seem irritated when you talk to me, my sincerest apologies, but I hope you won't pressure me/intentionally anger me for I will really blast. This is more or less a warning at the same time. Best is, try to stay away.

5 days left. Then I will be gone.

Every year since we were little kids, our parents would slip us little red packets with an occassional festive greeting in gold re-fracting on the surface of smooth, velvety crimson. Ever wondered why they do so?

It's probably a 'salary' for exploiting us on the eve of Chinese New Year. My parents took this perfect opportunity to boss me around the house, from beating the carpet to taking freshly ironed clothes upstairs to deliver them to the respective owners' wardrobes. My brother was intelligent enough to escape early in the morning, but alas for me, my friend and I cancelled our 'outing' to the arcade due to another friend being unable to go, and myself being broke, despite the urgent need to get fresh additions to my already groaning bookshelf.

I am officially virtually suing my parents for exploitation and child abuse! And I'm suing the many mosquitoes in my house for the damage they did to my skin. Apparently, the mosquitoes thought it great to have a full blown reunion dinner with my blood, and attacked practically every bit of exposed flesh (which is quite a lot, since I had to wear shorts to avoid being drenched when helping dad expel dirt from the floor) that hadn't already been previously attacked and scarred by their fellow comrades. We ought to teach the mosquitoes how to ration their food.

And my dad just blasted some of those melody denied festive New Year songs into my ears. He's arguing that he didn't know that it would turn out that loud. More like he thought I was visually oriented, a.k.a deaf due to the fact that I keep ignoring the many commands my mom, gran and him have been dishing out to me. Maybe I'm just cyclically challenge (having PMS).

Ah well. Blame it on the domestic engineers in my home who are too selectively perceptive (aka insane). And it doesn't help with them complaining that my room was too closure prohibitive. I'm feeling energy deprived now due to forced hard labour community service I've just completed. Shall go off now.

6:43 PM

I've just gone around blog surfing, and stumbled onto Jiamin's rather unfortunate experience with the maggot. I must say that the veg stall's food is rather disgusting digestively challenged...

Then there's Peirong's time capsule thingum... Xinrong and I were thinking of putting in Balsa wood, but I'm rather afraid termites may attack and destroy the galaxy time capsule. And ink doesn't last forever, unless one laminates it at a high price. Damn...

Anyway, some trivial matters to note.

1: Xinrong has started coming online rather often! Saw her on Thurs and Fri night.
2: I'm going back next Sat.

Damn the 2nd point. Maybe I won't make it back... *shrugs*

And my parents are really bossy people. They've been cleaning up and bossing me around to get stuff/take stuff. Damn.

As you all can already sense, I'm not in the best of moods, so goodbye.

Hmm... Went to the mosque the new campus of IJ toapayoh today to visit the old teachers, but for some reason, they all seemed rather hostile and different. The building felt to unwelcoming and artificial, with pure newly whitewashed walls, polished wooden benches and tables, frosted glass doors. It was just too unlike the old building, which had this cosy feeling of oldness and warmth melded comfortably together. Apparently one of my previous teachers didn't recognize sars and I, as she probably mistook us for irritating secondary school students trying to poke our noses into the primary school's welfare due to us attempting to recall the old teachers' names and looking at the register of teachers. Jeez.

I doubt I'll ever go back there again as I suspect that those teachers that I really wanna visit would have retired by the time I got back. For example, this nice Chinese teacher who still had the misconception that I totally loved Mother Tongue kept patting sars and my shoulder. She was too short, probably explaining that action. Fine, that was mean. She said that the school was forcing too much on her, and that she might be leaving though.. The signs of stress and time were all over her face, especially in her eyes. As a result, I didn't have the heart to tell her that I'd moved to Aus for fear of causing a cardiac arrest.

The other teacher I wanted to visit wasn't in the school anymore I think... So well, sars and I went to the bookshop where I got a notepad, wrote a note to that teacher, stuffed it in her pigeon hole where she had a whole lot of light blue workbooks of 1 Hibiscus students. It seems like she has a soft spot for the class 'Hibiscus'. She's been teaching p1 and 2 Hibi even before I was there, meaning more than 9 years. Wow.

Blargh. Went to cineleisure to meet Yimin, Shiru, Melesa and Xueying, where they attempted to make me throw my lunch up (when I already had no appetite) by mentioning disgusting combinations of clothes for our teachers. eg: Ng in a thong, James Tan in a bikini etc.

While they were watching Memoirs of a Geisha, I was busy looking at music books at Kino. They've got quite cool books eg. RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN, Shrek 2. I may be going back for the Rodgers and Hammerstein 'Cinderella' score. The music for that was fantastic. I watched the newer version with WHITNEY HOUSTON, Whoopi Goldberg, Brandy etc in it on tele twice.

Then met the rest at HMV, where I bought 'Amelie' and 'Chicago'. Apparently HMV is rather coordination impaired. The first counter sars and I approached to pay for our M18 films didn't allow me to purchase them without a form of ID. The other counter on the same floor but just at the other end of the store allowed us to, and the person didn't even bat an eye. Wow.

Then got back to Toapayoh, where I took a bus back. Yeah... And I'm really tired now as my friend woke me up early in the morning with an sms at an ungodly hour of 8.20. Not exactly ungodly since you people would already have started lessons on a normal school day, but it's ungodly when it's my hols.

Hmm... Wonder what's the point of typing so much even though people don't bother visiting my blog anyway. A form of keeping track of what has happened if I get amnesiac one day?

Thousands of apologies to Yanne and Jiasin, for I cannot go for the meeting scheduled for today due to the unfortunate physical sickness I had come to contract yesterday (blacked out, cramps, nausea).

Besides that, I'm feeling slightly better now. It's so peaceful without the eternal buzzing in my ears from my mom's nagging when she's home (she's doing her hair at some salon now). I'd hate to say it, but GOOD RIDDANCE.

Brother's out too... So, it's just peaceful and quiet at home with me, the computer and the television etc. Right... The wind just blew the bloody umbrella into the nearby Christmas tree.

And just a note, I really think I'm suffering from 'Borderline Personality Disorder' after reading that article in 'Mind your body' today. Wow.

Maybe I won't go tomorrow... Depends on whether I'm feeling better or not.

Memoirs of a Geisha today was more hilarious than sad/remorseful/touching/God-knows-what. When Zhangziyi was about to start the dance, they showed her shoes, and the only thought that flashed in my head was 'woah. Finally someone to defeat ng.'

Yeahyeah, I'm weird and perverse. But even Xinrong and Faus found it extremely funny. The 3 of us were sniggering away when some people were sobbing, and Zeena & Bao were conducting a live commentary. And when Mameha gave Chiyo her geisha name (you shall be known as Sayuri), Xinrong kept repeating 'Darth Vader' over and over again. So once again, we broke out into laughter.

Poor Laykuan was rather shocked to see me there. I heard from my mom's friend that she specially sent a CNY card to Aus (forgot to put my Sing return add on) because I'd left my Aus add on the xmas card I'd sent her. She must have paid an obscene sum of money to get that miserable thing over to Perth.

And Zeena was wearing her grey 'Pirates of the Caribbean' shirt AGAIN. It seems like everytime we see her outside school, she wears that. It's all faded now, yet she still wears it. When asked, she merely said 'there was this sign on the shirt that said "made to fade"'. So in ten years time, when Zeena wears this plain grey shirt to any meetings, we all know what it was before. But really, she may get another one when 'Pirates of the Caribbean 2' comes out. Imagine if one day, any of us are honoured enough to take a step into her holy room, throw open the rosewood wardrobe doors, and see a whole row of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' tees. And Zeena goes 'Hey, Take your pick! I have this, this, and this. They're all different!' We shall then stare stupidly at Zeena and tell her they're all the same...

Shall go off now as I'm getting chased off by my dad.

How long have I not updated? Hmm... 4 days.

Anyway, seems like Bernice is the 'top scorer' amongst all who even bothered to do the trivia! Congrats!

To Zeena, yes, I'm going tomorrow.

Nothing to blog about.

Just finished watching the Golden Globe awards, and 'Brokeback Mountain' won:

-Best Motion Picture - Drama
-Best Director - Motion Picture
-Best Screenplay - Motion Picture
-Best Original Song - Motion Picture

Memoirs of a Geisha:

-Best Original Score - Motion Picture (JOHN WILLIAMS! And Yo-yo Ma)

Walk the Line: (which opens on Feb 9th I think)

-Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy
-Best Performance by an Actress (Reese Witherspoon) in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy
-Best Performance by an Actor (Joachim Phoenix) in a Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy

Hugh Laurie (who acted as Dr. House in aduh, House) got the best actor in a television series (drama)! Woots!

Desperate Housewives won only one award, and it's rather... Ridiculous?

-Best Television Series - Musical Or Comedy (comedy?! It can't possibly be a musical right? Maybe... (Ooooh my darling, I hunger for youuur touch). Right.)

The funniest thing was that all the 'Desperate Housewives' were nominated for 'Best actress in a television series (musical/comedy), and Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) won it in the end. Found it rather amusing.

'Lost' won 'Best television series(drama)', which I found rather disappointing. Not like I liked any of the other nominees any better though.

'A History of Violence' won NOTHING(Zeena, let's sob) despite being nominated twice. Same with Narnia.

And Ang Lee actually said 'Xin Nian Kuai Le' to those in Taiwan, Hongkong and China! I was rather tickled by that too.

To think that I'm writing/watching 'Face lift' (Debbie Travis) about the Golden Globe Awards when you people are slogging your arses off in school. *evil laugh*

Anyway, for the full list of nominees/award winners, you can go to the website below.

That's all.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JNR DAY

Today was the 77th anniversary of the world-acknowledged martyr, Martin Luther King Jnr. The liberator of the blacks, he fought with his life against injustice towards fellow humans due to the color (American spelling) of their skin. He has paid the price of his dreams: He has paid with his life.

May we hold the spirit of Martin Luther King Jnr forever in our hearts, and live out his dream forever!

(Right. Just trying my hand out at 'journalism'. Doesn't seem to be good though. Damn.)

Xinrong and I were discussing about having a 'class outing' for Memoirs of a Geisha, but look: There's nothing I can do if I suggest going on this day, and a thousand hands shoot up in the air on how they have tuition, have to clean their dog's shit etc, suggest going on that day, and the same thing happens. So unless someone's gonna organize it, I'm not gonna go with the class, but just with selected people from the class etc. So there.

There's bloody hell nothing I can do if you all insist on brandishing your colourful timetables (eg: red for LA, blue for Math, green for scrubbing bird shit off windows etc) in my bloody face and saying 'no, I can't make it on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Shitday, but I still wanna go, so please help me prebook my tickets.' I've had enough trauma from the fear of meeting pickpockets in crowded areas AKA Orchard, and losing my precious $160 which could easily buy me a coffin.

And for heaven's sakes, if you all wish to say you can only make it on one day at the ungodly hour of 12 midnight, you can jolly well go yourself. I'm not gonna bother sending out tons of smses on what time, where, the duration of the movie, how to scrape rabbit dung off your textbooks to all of you, because really, there's no way everyone or even half the class can go together. Look: People are only free on ONE day (on AVERAGE) a week besides all those God-forsaken SIAs and language classes and CCAs. And sadly, the teachers all don't stay back on one day and clog up all the classrooms with CCA meetings. Right.

Say I'm pissed, but you get rather worked up when you ask people 'what days are you free?' and they return some inane rubbish like 'monkeybone is so hilarious' (not pointing at anyone). I've had a bloody bad day attempting to track down the person who called me at about 4PM, and I'm seriously not in a good mood now. If you're gonna monkey with me, I'll go out, grab a constipated monkey, give it laxatives and make it FERTILIZE your wrinkled skin with its fragrant dung.

And at the same time, the person who called me today could conveniently 'own up' if possible. I was just about to pick up the damned phone when the person cut off. Just my day.

9:27 PM

Oh fine. I give up on LJ. Had a vague idea of using it for satires site number 2 to upload further Chronic girls stuff (if sars doesn't mind) and so on and so forth.

Firstly, I can't change the bloody template, and I'm having quite a lot of trouble navigating through the pages etc. The only thing I managed was putting up this stupid display pic that I thoroughly hate, and add friends (Bao, Jiamin and Sheena). Right.

On a lighter note, I'll post Chapter three now.

Chapter 3: Seraphina and the closet.

Seraphina stepped out, and walked cautiously around, touching the walls to convince herself that they were real.

Suddenly, she heard a low croaking as well as the pattering of feet on the floor. From the corner came a huge sedan chair, borne by four pathetic looking creatures. Bent double, knocked-kneed, they trudged along tiredly.

On the sedan sat a woman with long, black rebonded hair, eyes that sent daggers into one's heart, her nose facing the sky like there was dirt beneath it, and a hard mouth. Her fingernails were talon-like: Crimson and needle sharp. On the left of her sat a dwarf, with features resembling a poisonous toad, and bright, scarlet lipstick on her thick lips.

Upon seeing Seraphina, the dwarf jumped off the sedan, brandishing a dagger that glistened maliciously in the sunlight. With a shout, Sera turned and ran for her life, only to trip over her nervous feet.

The dwarf's face loomed over her own, and with a movement too quick for Sera to do a thing about, the dwarf brought down the dagger upon Sera's heart. Sera closed her eyes in fright, and awaited death to arrive in slow pain.

'Stop!', she heard a voice call out. Sera opened her eyes to find the dagger but centimeters away from her. The woman on the sedan ordered in a cold voice, 'Bring her to me'.

The dwarf heaved Sera on her feet, and pushed her violently towards the woman. The woman looked at Sera with hard piercing eyes, and demanded. 'Who are you? What're you doing here when you're no slave of mine?'

Stunned, Sera stood tongue-tied, staring at the strange sight before her. The dwarf poked her painfully in the back, and curtly said 'Answer girl. Or are you mute?' 'Stop it, Hengky', spat the woman, 'you disgust me'. The dwarf sulkily backed away from Seraphina, and Sera finally found her tongue.

'I'm Seraphina... Madam. I was looking for my sister when I stumbled upon this place. She's been here before and she's got a friend called 'Zeena', who's a chronic girl.'

The woman's eyes dilated in curiosity. 'How many of you are there?' she asked. 'Four, madam.' 'Come and sit here Seraphina, you look so frightened', offered the woman. 'I'm Shirlene Tieh, the queen of this land of Nanyang. Now, what would you like to eat?' 'Switzerland Macedamian nut dark chocolate please, your highness', said Sera, licking her lips in anticipation.

The Tieh took out a small vial from her pocket and carefully 'soot' out a drop of green liquid onto the ground. Immediately, a box of the finest chocolates Sera had ever seen appeared. The Tieh then turned to the dwarf. 'Hengky! What are you waiting for? Serve it to our guest.'

With a look of intense dislike on her face, Hengky bent down and picked up the box of chocolate on the grey cement floor. She rudely shoved it into Sera's hands, her thick lips forming yet another sulk.

Sera lifted up the box to see four rows of the most delectable chocolates ever. She greedily picked the first one up and stuffed it into her mouth, and the sencond, third and fourth continued.

The Tieh continued probing her. 'Now', she simpered in her high pitched voice, 'Would you mind bringing your delightful siblings here to me?' Seraphina replied, 'Why should I? They are just such irritating idiots, especially Marissa. Always bossing me around.' The Tieh said, 'I'm childless, and thus I'm planning to make you my heir... Of course, a princess as pretty and intelligent as you needs servants, right?'

Sera, still stuffing herself with the chocolate, merely nodded and broke into a huge cheshire cat grin. The Tieh, seeing success, pointed towards the clocktower. 'Now Seraphina, when you bring your siblings here, you can find me in the office right under the clock tower. It's getting late. You'd better run along or your sisters would be worried sick.'

The Tieh took the empty box and chucked it to Hengky. Sera got off, but turned and asked the Tieh. 'Could I have more chocolate please?' The Tieh replied a curt 'No', but realised her mistake and added on, 'Not till your siblings are here. A princess will get all she wants right?' The Tieh flashed an evil grin at Sera, who innocently grinned back.

The Tieh then said, 'Derek, Neville, Meihong and Shirley, let's go.' With that, the four minions set off once more, but they had unfortunately left Hengky behind.

Hengky then shouted, 'Hey! Wait for me!' The Tieh turned around in mock surprise. 'Oops, I've forgotten Hengky. Come on Hengky, you can do better than that. Keep up now!' And Seraphina, half-laughing, returned to the broom closet only to bump into Xinrong.

'Seraphina! You've found it too! I just had tea with Zeena, and she's really happy the Tieh hasn't found out yet!', Xinrong unknowingly blurted.

Seraphina kept silent, and they returned to their own world.

I don't know if I should set up another site so that you people can all read the whole thing instead of searching frantically in my archives for Chapters 1 or 2... And Sars, you sure you don't want to carry on?

Chapter 4 would take some time... Might not be able to make it by next week, sadly. Ah well...

I'm having a rather bad headache now, so shall go through the day quickly, then get some rest.

Firstly, when I was happily walking to the main road outside my house (this dust crusted congested place), the bus 93 had to rumble joyfully by. As a result, I had to run after it, and a few people were kind of frightened by my running speed (I nearly overtook the bus...). Got on the bus, but wow! It wasn't airconditioned! (I'm sounding like a pampered brat now) I was sweating my arse off, and had to sit in this stainless and waterproof steel oven for about half an hour, with a rather bumpy ride. That kind of started the headache...

Then, after all that sweating, 74 came by at Thomson Road. It was AIRCONDITIONED and quite cold, but probably due to all the sweat evaporating and God-knows-what about the molecules leaving my skin cells or something.

Reached KAP at about 2.10PM, meaning I was about half an hour early. Went down to Cold Storage, walked around browsing stuff and bought a packet of Apple flavoured Warheads.

Took out my book 'A Million Pieces' (rereading it), and realised to my horror that there was a stain on the opposite side of the spine (meaning the pages, but lengthwise). I think it's coffee, and it's PERMANANT. Damn.

Shiru, Eun, Sera and Sai soon arrived, and initially they couldn't find me as I was said to be camouflaging at a corner of the 2nd floor of Macdonalds. Hmmph. Shiru then asked why the wrapping of the book was so lousy, and with a blessed sentence, I expelled her doubts: It was wrapped by me. Right.

Went to get a cup of diluted 'Medium Coke' at the sky high price of $1.95 when I could have conveniently gotten a 2L bottle or so from Cold Storage. I didn't fancy the idea of being thrown out for bringing outside food in though.

When Xueying and I returned to our table, I caught sight of this lilac purple thingum lumping (okok, fine) there and realised that it was Ng. I had this sudden temptation to run out when I saw her, but sadly, Shiru caught sight of me and shouted at me.

Chatted for quite a while, and like last week, had 2 conversations going on most of the time. Was rather freaked out by Ng's rather unexplained staring at me though. There was once when she was staring at me, and I didn't know it, thus looking in that direction. She saw me looking at her and kind of started and averted her gaze. Weird... Maybe the cosmic powers of black (I was wearing a black SSO shirt and pants) were working on her, since it is after all Black Friday the 13th.

Then felt rather sick on the train and bus, even nauseous. Xinrong's talking to me did help though. Kept my mind off my nausea.

Went to Kovan and bought this book 'Blink' by Malcolm Gladwell at $13.44 (paperback) from Popular. It's kind of cheap compared to the other bookstores, as Popular's giving a 20% discount off it due to its being a bestseller. Cool eh?

Shall go off now.

7:22 PM

It's rather sad that after all, 'A Million Pieces' by James Frey isn't totally true at all.

The book kind of blew me away with the intensity (and vulgarities. *colossal snort*)... But it's probably only because I saw it as something that had really happened. If it was fiction, the effect would be different. Really sad though...

Anyway, if you all haven't read it/want to read it, I suppose I could loan you the book, but how I'll pass it around I have no idea. Alternatively, you all could hop down to Popular and get it for about $16 I think (20% off for bestsellers). It's selling at Kino/Borders for about $20. Not worth the money, don't you think so?

Seems like he's published the sequel... Initially, I was rather interested to get it, but now... Ah well. I don't have that much money anyway.

And yes! *punches fist into air* THE RAIN'S FINALLY STOPPED FOR HALF A DAY! My escape is near at hand! (An hour more, I'll be going to KAP for lunch with Zeena etc) The sky's rather overcast though... And what more, my umbrella's screwed. Arrgh.

I've just paid a visit to Zeena's blog archives, and found it to be extremely rewarding, hilarious and interesting.

I QUOTE.

i absolutely loathe my new form teacher!!!!!!!!!!! e 1st thing she did when she came i monday morning was scold us about how dirty e klazrm wuz!!!!! urgh. cant stand her!!everyone in klaz hates her lorh. hmph. i want ms teo back!! WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! n mrs ng said she tot in RI bfore n they called her m'am. she was implying that she wanted to be called mam!!! omg. n she returned me n my frenz some wksts n she wrote 'fgd' on it. we all lked at each other n said 'fuckin gd'. then we started luffin lyk mad. then she came n scolded us! awful lady! i hope she gets an aneurysm! that wld serve her rite!

Tsk tsk, Zeena. Imagine if Ng went to your blog and saw the atrocious language (I wasn't any better at that time anyway) and what her icky wicky Zeena said about her. She'll be so disappointed, and maybe even get an aneurysm from seeing what dear Zee-zee'd said about her.

On a lighter note, I'm tempted to start another satirical 'project' due to utter boredom. I've been incarcerated within the many walls of my home due to the bloody rain. I really want to get out of here, but my umbrella's spoilt and unless I take one of my mom's super-auntie ones, I'll get pneumonia, keel over and die. Damn... I've got a vague idea for a 'newsletter' thingum, but it'll be quite troublesome, since I'll have to update rather frequently... How sad.

Somehow I'm rather tempted to carry on with 'The Chronic Girls of Nanyang', since it was my 'brainchild' after all, but well... The inconvenience of having 2 people working on the same thing puts me off. *shrugs* I'm not in the mood to write much anyway.

Shall stop this random rambling and do something more constructive.

Will the person who called me four times at approximately 2.45PM today please own up? I apologize, but I'm currently devoid of caller ID for my phone, and believe it or not, it's proving to be really difficult for me... Thanks.

Ollie, station wagons rock! Gives my mom's nagging more time to echo around the car before getting to me. *snorts*
To Jiamin, I'm glad you think it amusing too.

I'm still puzzled as to who on earth would call me at this ungodly hour, when everyone's rushing to the MOELC. Thought it may be Xinrong, but was horribly wrong, since she repeatedly said that it wasn't her. She suggested that it may be *someone* though... Damn, but I think her suspicion may hold a little truth in it.

Ah well. No point freaking myself out for nothing, unless I were to send smses out to everyone on my list, but it'll be a total waste of my free smses since only one person called. Shall have to impatiently-patiently wait for the person to call again...

Just had my bath after dinner, since I had a haircut...

My mom dragged me to Toapayoh on such a glorious public holiday, where tons of other people would be there to trample mercilessly on our toes. And why? Because *puts on an extra screechy voice* there's free parking at the carpark! Probably to compensate our broken toes, and yes, the way my left big toe's bone already juts out sure doesn't help. My mom ought to be glad that she didn't do a pedicure yesterday, or she would be screaming the house down now.

I was tempted to hop onto the train and go down to United Square for the arcade, but I'd unfortunately forgotten to take my wallet out (was rather fearful for pickpockets). And my toes were already screaming bloody murder in my sandals (I was stupid enough to wear these. Another sign of mental instability).

Watched this movie 'Air Bud Strikes Back' on Channel 5 at around 3PM out of sheer boredom, while my mom snored away on the couch. Movies on dogs saving days are really getting too common... Why don't they get turtles or something? At least they don't poke their bloody noses in other people's businesses (pun intended).

When I finally got on the computer (Dad was on before me), mom had to go 'oh, I'll take you for your haircut now since we have nothing better to do'. Good Lord... What a way to stop your daughter from wasting further electricity.

So I was sitting on that black leather chair, reading old 'Old Master Q' comics (no typo), while the hairdresser snipped happily away, proclaiming that I had really thick hair every few seconds. I pretended that I didn't understand Mandarin, so my mom was my spokeswoman. *sniggers* When my hair covered one of my eyes, I could do nothing but helplessly study the laws of symmetry on my face. Right...

I hate mosquitoes! There are tons breeding (probably because of the big pools of my mom's saliva all around the house), and I'm rather allergic to mosquito bites! Damn it... Not to mention my foldable umbrella partially broken... (To xinrong: Uhoh... I hope I get a new one by Friday...)

And it's been raining and raining. I'm gonna die of pneumonia without my umbrella. What a great day it's been.

Not to mention Zeena Tan ignoring my smses, unless she'd changed/lost her handphone in the past few days. Great.

I've really been neglecting my tagboard...

Bao: I'm not exactly angry, but rather upset (ok, not much of a diff) with the way some people are operating... (note the SOME) Maybe it's just because I'm not in your position, so just ignore the cantankerous grumbles of an old lady.
Bernice: I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU! Debates is so damn neglected: Believe it or not, we haven't gotten our competition stuff from May 2005. Good Heavens... Even if it was accidentally posted to Antartica, it should have gotten back already...
Yanne: Blame tagboard.com, don't blame me.
Zeena: Thanks for the compliments, but as you've seen, I'm giving it up...
Irene: Haha... Thanks, but I doubt that I have the time.
Pui: Happy extremely belated New Year!
Bao: I suppose you could ask whoever's taking over to do so...

*snickers* Trivial matter number 2 (dated somewhere in late Dec).
I QUOTE ONCE MORE:

Sorry if I'm disappointing any fans of 'The chronic girls of NY', but I'm left without much choice.

10:08 PM

I'm currently reading the book, 'God's Debris' by Scott Adams. Yes, the author of the Dilbert comics etc. If you wish to get a free e-book copy of it, click the following link.

Click me!

Anyway, this book's on philosophy, and the viewpoints are rather interesting and different... Go have a look. It's in PDF format, and is 131 pages (excluding furthur links etc). Scott Adams kind of said it was PG 13 due to the thoughts that may drive some people suicidal (probably), but well... I hope your mental ages are above 14 too.

It's a new week, and even though Pam has consistantly pestered me to post the much anticipated chapter 3 of 'The Chronic Girls of Nanyang', I'm not that keen on posting it yet... And well, to be honest, I ain't that keen on continuing beyond Chapter 3 too. Firstly, it'll be rather inconvenient for me to keep going online and using MSN to write a book with Marissa. Secondly, it's been rather stagnant for quite some time, and I can feel much of the initial enthusiasm ebbing out of me. Lastly, people in the school are much too busy for anything besides their beloved SIAs and worksheet -insert inane number- to bother about anything else. Say I'm inconsiderate/insensitive to your humungous workload, but believe it or not, my patience runs out fairly quickly.

If Marissa would like to have the 'copyrights', I wouldn't mind passing it to her, and anyone else who would like to help with it (I suppose, if Marissa doesn't mind). Unless you people would rather I continue it as a one-man job, I too wouldn't exactly mind that, but most of it would probably turn out to be a sarcastic nightmare rather than a "children's" fantasy book.

But really, no one really reads what I post. Maybe you people do read it, but wouldn't even take into mind what a mentally unstable person like me has to say, and would just take it like a fly buzzing around your ears: Irritating and unintelligible.

I'm rather sick and tired of all the talk about 'oh, I'm too busy today...' or 'I have to do my -insert subject- today, -insert another subject- homework tomorrow, throw my dog out of the house the day after...' My patience is seriously running out, and I wouldn't give a damn even if you were to say that I'm just another one of those f*cked-up, unsympathetic, self-victimising assholes who cannot understand that the rest of the world's working their asses off when I am not. I suppose some of you are indignantly clucking in front of your computers that I should just go and throw myself off a building for being such an insensitive fre*k, but really, I don't give a damn. I was already very irritated last year during the SYF period due to the people who were self-victimising themselves by saying that they had their practices (c'mon, I had my first debates competition at that same time too. Who're you trying to kid?) every day and every minute of their lifeless lives, so what makes you think that I wouldn't be irritated this time?

301st post! Right, inane...

Anyway, just read Peirong's blog, and I suppose I've been rather mean about the aussies, but well... I've stopped it. Thanks to Peirong for giving me 'special insights' (no sarcasm) about how the people may feel if they heard/saw what I'd said (fortunately, no one knows my blog from aus except Ollie, who isn't in my year:)).

I just found the rap we did for the 'interpretation of the word "novel"' in LA at the start of last year. Accurately, the 11th of Jan. I was just thinking about it, and decided to go through my email account, when -lo and behold- it appeared! *rejoices*

Dinner time. I suppose I'll lengthen this later.

*Part 2*

I don't suppose anyone comes to this blog anymore, but it's probably just something to allow me to pass my time..

Well, I don't have much to add on, so there!

Here's the 'rap' anyway.

Rudolph (Copyrights of Xinrong, Jolene, Pamelia, Mingyi and Sheena. Copy it, and meet your doom.)

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
Had a lot of things to fear.
One was people making fun of his nose,
Which looked a lot like a red red rose.

All the other reindeers called him names,
They never let him join their games.
But all lil' Rudolph wanted to do,
Was to go to Nanyang Girls' High School.

Mdm Mak wouldn't let him in,
Saying having boys in the school was a sin.
Poor Rudolph was very sad,
And he said that Mdm Mak was very bad.

Mdm Mak sent him to the SPCA,
And left him there to decay.
He resigned himself to his fate,
Thinking that he was past his expiry date.

And there he met a couple of friends,
Who taught him about the latest trends.
From William Hung to Britney Spears,
And how to deal with peers and fears.

From there he regained his confidence,
And went to the Singapore Idol auditions.
He met Gurmit Singh, who ushered him in,
Where the judges asked him to start singing.

He poured out his deepest woes,
And complained about his wicked foes.
Then he sang about his friends,
And how they lent their helping hands.

His sincere delivery touched the judges,
After they heard of all his grudges.
I can't remember it all today,
But here is what he had to say.

"Let me now introduce myself,
I have just come out from hell.
I am Britney Rudolph Hung,
Please tell me your comments after I have sung.

My peers treated me like a freak,
Saying I was a big fat geek.
Even my mommy insulted me,
So I want to prove myself and let them see.

Mdm Mak wouldn't let me in,
Since my aggregate was below two-seventy.
It's not fair just cos I'm a guy,
She threw me out and left me to die.

Now I'm back and better than before,
I'm all ready to bounce back after my fall.
Let me in for just this once,
Please give me another chance.

Please make an exception, please you must,
I promise I won't make your school go bust.
Let me in in class 2/3,
It's the best that I can see.

They have some good quality teachers,
And not just some useless preachers.
The 2/3 students are the very best-
They're a cut above the rest.

Well I did my best,
And have no regrets.
This may seem like drivel,
But that's why I'm a novel!"

The judges were all very impressed,
They said that he was the very best.
He was crowned the first Singapore Idol,
And Mdm Mak gave him a gold medal.

She finally agreed to take him in,
And Rudolph's new life was about to begin.
But before entering Nanyang Girls' High,
He thanked his friends with a tearful goodbye.

A few years later he wrote a novel,
The title was "I'm a novel!"
He became as famous as Britney Spears,
And William Hung among his peers.

Now it's a happy ending for all,
Rudolph had climbed up after his fall.
So we should learn from him,
Hope is as bright as a sunbeam.

I haven't really been that mentally stable these days, so please bear with me...

Met up with some 203 people yesterday, then we made our way down to MGS after Xinrong and Lutheng finally found the latter's -God knows what- and made us wait a little while of 40 damned minutes.

Amazingly, none of us knew how to get there, besides me, who knew that it was a couple of stops away from KAP, but we were rather lost when Xinrong/Karene pressed the 'stop' button, and it turned out that they were luckily right.

Snail-crawled up the slope, and we were about to cross the road outside the school when -gasp- a figure clad in a yellow plunging neck-line blouse and long blue skirt suddenly emerged with a beige coloured giordano umbrella. Xinrong and I were so scared witless, we kind of walked away and started chatting under a tree.

She then jaywalked over, and Xinrong and I walked even further, for reasons even unknownst to us now. For some odd reason, I was feeling rather... Unprepared and frightened when *she* walked out. As I'd said, it's probably my mental illness playing its tricks again.

Anyway, Xinrong and I kind of avoided her like we were avoiding something infected with the bird flu: We both walked at least 2 metres away from her, and didn't really talk much. She insulted Xinrong by saying that the latter was a geek though. Hmmph.

When we walked all the way from MGS to KAP (both Xinrong and I later unanimously agreed that it was rather miraculous that *she* didn't stop a cab instead), Xinrong and I walked up the 'drainage' at the side of KAP, and I was rather doubtful that *she* would be able to walk up that in her black 'slippers'. True enough, she had to walk a whole big loop all the way to the end, while Xinrong and I were happily basking in the air-con of the Macdonalds.

We were waiting downstairs... Waiting... And Xinrong proclaimed that it was impossible for them to take that long to walk all the way into Macdonalds, even counting *her* snail-like speed. I then suggested that they may have been knocked down by a car (sarcastically of course), and continued that there may be another entrance upstairs. True enough, the rest came tumbling down rejoicing that *she* had treated them all to Macdonalds with a big blue $50 note. Wow.

Xinrong and I were rather insane, and she was half-shouting over the crowd about upholding the NY name. I sarcastically added that she had to rip the hongzhi out of the pillowcase, and hold it high up in the air. We both laughed ourselves more stupid.

Chatted there for quite a while, then *she* went off. Stayed for another half an hour with the rest busy chattering about their Science -or God knows what- SIA, then Xinrong and I went off. As we were walking out, we saw *her* walking to the bus stop, then proceeding to flag a taxi. I'd thought that she would have gone off by now, but maybe she was still lost after looking for Karene (who'd kindly gone after her with the latter's umbrella). Xinrong said that *she* looked like she'd just been shopping. Is there that much to shop at KAP?

Have I mentioned that we saw this person called Mrs Sandra Lee in her car? She nearly knocked Xinrong and I over as we tried crossing the road before KAP... Mrs Lee's supposed to be the NY English -God knows who-, and she honked at us as she'd been blinded by all the whiteness and innocence of the white uniform (paraphrased what *she* said). Omens?

Right... Haven't really been in the mood for blogging. Probably another sign of mental instability... Going off now, since I'm meeting Xinrong at Orchard MRT at 1.

(I apologize, but I haven't been in the best mood these few days... Don't ask me why Xinrong and I kept avoiding *her* too. We both have no idea. And just stop pressuring me for answers, unless you want lies...)

I suppose none of you would bother about the world, but do I care? Just a note: Ariel Sharon (go check out who it is. Won't bother saying it) had a stroke yesterday, and is in a life threatening state... Hmm. Most of you probably have this going through your heads: Don't know, don't care. So, I shall just leave you all at that...

Finally went back to NY. Amazingly, I was actually feeling rather nervous: Probably worried about being blinded by all that whiteness and innocence. Right...

Jiaying, Faus and Karene came in to escort me as I was rather afraid that I'd be thrown out and sued for trespassing. The guard was happily questioning another guy when I sneaked in though... *snickers*

Went around, said hi to quite a number of people, walked around with Pam... Then went to Borders, and went home. A rather interesting yet uninteresting day, made worse by my headache.

Shall go off now.

Lazily, I move the computer mouse over to the green start button, command my index finger to click the left mouse button, and proceed on to the 'Notepad' icon.

As I face the blank document titled 'untitled' (oxymoron), I realise that -gasp- I can no longer find that inspiration within me to invent! That something has somehow managed to escape from my grasp, and slip through the darkness of my soul to meld together with time. Together, both have disappeared from my life, sand trickling through my hands...

No longer am I able to sit infront of my computer, the words flowing from my fingers as they dart to and fro on my keyboard. Depression hits.

Farewell, Jolene. Welcome, vegetable germinated and growing rapidly on the nutrients of time and stupidity.

1:13 PM

I was reading 'The Dilbert Principle' into the wee hours of the night (meaning about 2AM), and snacking on the limited edition dark chocolate Kitkat (yes, at that ungodly hour) in my room (hope it doesn't attract ants or God-knows-what). I found Scott Adam's take on high heels really interesting, though it was only a single word: Masochism.

Kind of choked on my chocolate when I saw it, and was laughing till my mom awoke to see what the matter was. She would have killed me if she'd seen the chocolate, but I fortunately switched off the light before she got to my room. I'm not allowed to eat anywhere else besides downstairs... (Sounds like the school? 'No eating in classrooms!') Right, my mom can try banning me from my room I suppose. I'll just conveniently hop over to HER room.

So here I am, sitting in front of my computer happily blogging when you people are stuck in school with your new teachers, most of whom were head-hunted probably with better salaries by none other than the school. Talking about that, it means that if another school were to offer your teachers better terms, your teachers would gleefully gambol over to that school too. Consolation: To those who hate your teachers, they have a high chance of leaving the school. I'm only generalizing. So there.

Hmm... Maybe I'll go to Kino if the rain halts... Doesn't seem to be that case though. It never rains but pours... GRR! I don't want to be home when (God knows who my mom invited this round) comes here!

How sad... Maybe I'll just do some writing on my part, since boredom kills your brain cells.

The 2nd day of the New Year, and I tumbled out of bed, tried to stand up, but blacked out for about 5 minutes. I know because I always look at the time the moment I wake up, and it was 11.30AM then, yet I felt I just couldn't get up. Then attempted rolling out onto the floor, but more or less just collapsed there. Tried pulling myself up by pushing on the comfy, springy bed of mine, but instead blacked out (I think I hit my knee. Ouch). When I finally managed to get up, it was 11.35AM, and I dragged myself back to my bed and lay there till I felt well enough to get downstairs.

What a smashing start of a year, especially for my right knee cap.

Then had lunch, was delayed by my mom (sorry, Sera), reached the Novena MRT station at 2.37PM where Sera was reading yet another Lord of the Rings book, then we headed for United Square. First, we dropped by this VCD shop (called TS videos or God-knows-what), and Sera went nuts when she saw the Lord of the Rings 'Return of the King' extended VCD -God knows what- which was selling for $14+. She didn't get it in the end though...

We then went to the San bookshop, and spent quite some time there... I got the books that I'd reserved, then we went to the ARCADE!!!

Spent $4 each, and Sera beat me at every game but the shooting one (she did beat me the 2nd time). MUAHAHAHAHA. Hidden talents? Maybe I could be an assassin in the future. Then, I stained my shorts by sitting on this coffee stained seat, and had to walk around looking for a pair of shorts. Found a suitable one that was PINK, but that was the only colour they had for my size, so well... Finally I have something that's pink in my wardrobe. Cause to be rejoiced for?

Then walked around attempting to find a suitable gift for my mom, and decided to get a cake from Bengawan Solo instead. Since I'm not a 'woman', I don't know what women love that are under $20, so I jokingly asked Sera to ask Ng, and SHE DID ASK HER. Good Lord... I was laughing maniacally, but unfortunately, Ng was busy. Oops.

Attempted to buy 'The Godfather' complete VCD series from above VCD shop, but the security was tight there. How tragic...

Yesterday, at midnight, Starhub was screwed. I couldn't send a message out for half an hour, and only managed to do so after that by sending the same message THRICE. Wow.

Shall go rest... Been feeling quite ill.
