My stupid brother took the camera to school yesterday, and left it in his locker. WTHBBQCFCABC?! So the flower kind of wilted today *sobs*. Damn my stupid brother. Anyway, some good news today. I PASSED MY PHYSICS TEST. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. (Apologies for the short fragments of thought) My passing mark wasn't too bad either. 73%. *avoids all murderous glares* I completely screwed up the first part of short answers. Got like 61% (44/71). Fortunately, my mcq and paper 2 saved me. Mcq was 32/40, and paper 2 was 84/111 (higher weightage. Thank goodness). Oh well. Just have to get ready for the moch (or as most singaporean teachers call it, MOCK) test on Monday and Wednesday. *crapcrapcrapcrapcrap* Music wasn't too much of a success. Eh... My teacher got kind of pissed off at my sight-reading and aurals. She keeps going on about wanting me to get a good mark, and knowing I have the potential for it yada yada. *rolls eyes* I mean, how many assignments and exams can you cram into one week? (week 4 of this term) OK. Science exam: Practical, MCQ and short answer: 3 days. Piano exam: 1 fateful afternoon Assignments: 3, namely History, Geography and English Tests: 2, Maths, Music Days for my social life: 0, or nada, or zilch, or bonky wonky. Think of it in the 'mastercard' ad way. What the bloody hell... This means that every subject I'm taking's being tested/has an assignment due in, with the exception of Religious Education and PE. Wait. Everything's tested. Religious Education: Can my faith withstand my busy schedule? PE: I might just go bonky wonky and start hitting my head against the wall, which will make my health seriously deteriorate. Oh great. I'm going to have such a *fantastic* week. Faint-astic sounds more like it. 8:15 PM Thursday, October 26, 2006 You know the pet cactus I got last year? Ok, not pet... (Just because it's not soft and cuddly doesn't mean you cannot love it) IT FLOWERED. AND THE FLOWER'S SO PRETTY. I should take a picture of it, but the camera's currently unavailable (I think my brother stole it). Anyway, I'm on a Werther's Original addiction. My mum bought one whole carton because there was some offer at the supermarket. -_-' They're hell nice though. Gtg to the supermarket. 5:34 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2006 There's no way I can concentrate on doing my work at home. Every day, my mum insists on recounting the day to me. What the hell... I'm NOT INTERESTED. I've got a test tomorrow, and my dad insists on me doing some stupid copying and pasting for him (60 small boxes). When I tell him I have a test, he says it can't wait. Wtf. I need to do my work! I've got my piano exam next week and Science the week after. I'm having a moch test next Monday and Wednesday (full 2 hours), and I need to do my bloody revision. Can't they even understand that I have my bloody life to live too? On top of that, the monthly bell has gone off for them to start quarrelling. *rolls eyes* Just great. It always happens right before my exams. And they are both unable to give me a lift to my piano exam, so somehow, I have to teleport myself there. Oh great. To be honest, I don't care anymore. I'm almost sure of failing my physics test (paper one yesterday was a complete screw up). I need to pull my marks up with what little's left of paper 2 (just a few short answer questions) tomorrow. I NEED PEACE AND QUIET TO STUDY. Maybe I'm just pressurizing myself too much. After all, I want my 75% overall (it looked easy with 82% on the previous test). Oh well. This isn't anyone's fault... I got rather down on Monday night (after all the quarrelling etc on my parents' parts) and decided to fail everything. Looks like my wish is coming true for once. I don't even know why I'm feeling so f*cking down. This always happens before anything important and what the hell, I can't even practice the piano well/in peace. My fingers just refuse to work. Great. Just before my exam next week. Maybe I should just pack my bags and stay at a hotel till my exams are over. 9:51 PM Sunday, October 22, 2006 I know I shouldn't be here, but when did I ever follow my conscience? ;) Got the recital in 3 hour's time. Rehearsal's in 2 hour's time. Blargh. And it ends in approx 4 hour's time. (actually, maybe 5: the teacher wants us to stay behind and 'socialise' -_-') I'm playing 2 short pieces and a duet, which is quite fine. My pieces would most probably take up about 5 minutes (including the introduction *rolls eyes*) and the duet would take about 5 minutes too. Crap. I haven't got my introduction ready for my pieces. I'm sure of what I want to talk about for my 2nd piece (DUH. I've played that at practically every performance this yr), but the first... Crap. Can anyone tell me what an esquisse is? For goodness sake, I can't even pronounce it. And the saddest thing is that it's my piece. And how do you pronounce Mehegan (megan?)??? Crap... I swear I'm gonna make a complete fool of myself. 12:03 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2006 Crap. I'm pissed with myself. I didn't go to school today because I was sick (cramps and other complications). And of all days, they studied RHAPSODY IN BLUE by Gershwin in music. WITH A VIDEO. How unfair... At least I got to miss the rest of the boring school day :). But I'm probably gonna borrow the video to watch at home. And the school called up at about 12.15pm to ask why I wasn't there, thus waking me from my sleep. Oh, we've got a new student in music. She's from Sri Lanka, and plays the piano. What the hell... 6 out of 11 of us play the piano, another 3 or so play the clarinet/wind instruments (main instrument is the clarinet) and the other 2 sing. NO VARIETY. I was hoping the new girl would play a string instrument... Tired of listening to the same kind of music all over again during each performance... I shouldn't be complaining. The more people get bored of piano, the less they'll pay attention to my playing :D. Which means that it's a lower chance they'll hear my mistakes. Means that I wouldn't be as humiliated. Wahahahaha. Anyway, I was asking the teacher what would happen if I knew I were gonna be sick on that day, and he said it wasn't allowed to happen. Humph. I was thinking of being absent on the day (this Sunday). I mean, TWO AND A HALF hours of my precious Sunday afternoon?! Good Lord... And I'm still debating whether I wanna tell my parents. Don't exactly want them to come along... I'd rather play in front of people I don't know. At least I won't get humiliated after the performance. Random ramblings. 10:18 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2006 Finally I took the time to upload the pictures from my camera. Not that there were many. ![]() His Majesty's Theatre, where we met up for the opera Nabucco on August the 24th (yes sars, your birthday). Class nerd's standing in my way. Ok, I shan't be so mean. After all, he's pretty nice and helpful, except that he's overly-pampered and weird. ![]() The front of the theatre. Flying through the months to get to last week... ![]() My house in its glorious almost finished state. ![]() See above. ![]() My room!!! At least in the future. ![]() This was taken through the empty doorknob hole. That's the living room and kitchen. There's still a huge portion to the left that can't be seen... Yeah. That's all. 11:47 AM Saturday, October 07, 2006 Just a few random musings while I plow through my chicken rice and try to keep my head with all the gunshots from my neighbouring computer user, my brother, who's currently watching 'Mr and Mrs Smith'. The movie made me wonder: Do people watch movies because of their plot, or because a few sexy people are in there and they want to watch them acting out the plot. Here's something to illustrate my point. If you took Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt out and placed 2 fat, obscure, old people in, would the movie still do so well in the box office? Mind-boggling, isn't it? The answer probably is, sadly, no. Then it makes you wonder, why is that so? I could just at this point laugh maniacally and shout that the apocalypse is here to claim our unfortunate little lives on this measly planet, but no. I shall resist the temptation to do so. I have the answer to that. Prayer does help. In any case, you could pray that God will save you from the blazing fires of hell for stupid time-wasting society-based freaks like my brother. If He doesn't, keep praying. Some of you are probably hooting indignantly at the screen now, arguing that the effect wouldn't be the same with fat, obscure old people being portrayed. Well, this is our sad world, isn't it? Everything's based on looks. Society's running amok with ageism, racism, God-knows-what-ism, that everything we have must look good. My computer could be some plain looking grey thing with wires running everywhere (actually, look under the table and you see all the wires snaking around), but no, I have a flat-screen samsung. Not that I'm complaining. I love this comp, and my other one that isn't so flat-screened. I'm not making a point, am I? As I've said, it's just random musings. Oh crap. I've finished almost all my chicken and not started on the rice. Shall just go back to my meal and leave this whole issue in peace. 3:28 PM Friday, October 06, 2006 4 hours till my death bed. I tried cooking for once just now. YES, COOK. Saw some 'easy-looking' omelette recipe on the net, and thought I'd try it. So I put some olive oil in a little pot and put it over the fire to warm up. Then I went to get the eggs. When I turned around, the bloody pot CAUGHT FIRE. Actually, I think it was the oil. That's not the point. So me, being the industrious chemistry student, knew that putting water on it wouldn't help, but make the fire even bigger. So I patiently waited for the oil to burn off. A *pleasant* surprise awaited me at the bottom of the pot. There was this black, glutinous, viscuous sticky thing that wouldn't come off no matter what I did with the sponge, and only make the sponge all grey and black. After some fingernail scraping, most of it's come off. Sadly, this pot is the better of the 2 pots that we have, and thus, my mum's still gonna kill me. Crap. I'm so dead. Ignore this horribly fragmented post. 2:26 PM Wednesday, October 04, 2006 Thanks all of you for your various tags... Feeling slightly better now. Maybe it's because it's the holidays. Anyway, the last day of school was crap. We had a mass in the morning, then a food and fun fair which was terribly boring. I ended up dragging my friend up to the grand piano to practice instead. Thusday was better. We did no work at all (for 4 lessons anyway), so it was really slack and most of the time, we could do anything we wanted (to a certain extent...). We had to watch this stupid reality television show called 'Australian Princess' which is about getting a few bimbos together and making them bitch-fight it out for the crown. Which is not exactly true, but I doubt anyone would be interested in anything else. Anyway, I accused the teacher of making us suicidal by showing us how dumb the world is. She merely laughed at me. Humph. Science, despite having to do work, was fun. We learnt about nuclear decaying using M & Ms. Like why the probability of a half-life is that way etc... So we were down to turning our last M & M M-up. We were tossing it for about 6 times to no avail. Then an ingenius thought struck me like an asteroid from outer space. What if it doesn't have an M? *gasp gasp* True to my ingenius hypothesis/theory, there WASN'T an M on it, resulting in our group bursting into hysterical laughter. The teacher herself was rather amused (she'd been observing us in our poor attempts to get it M-up). We had a test last period of the term. How sad... Fortunately, it was just music. So the teacher went 'you may ask me any questions before I start the test'. And thus I brilliantly asked him if he accepted bribes. Sadly, he said no, unless it was really attractive (no, not that way). The test was quite alright, except for a few questions that no one in the class got right. Haha! Music was really fun last week. We got our composition tests back, and there were 2 verses we had to compose: both were from Aussie poems. One was about this Aussie wild dog called a dingo, and the other was about a bushman trapped in the desert. I was feeling rather vindictive because I did not know what a dingo was (actually, I confused it with a DINGHEY, which is those small little air-pumped boats. So I didn't get it when it said 'the dingo's blood-polluted den'), and was shushed by the relief teacher when I tried asking. I did pretty well though. Highest levels:). So after explaining it to me, my teacher proceeded to ask my friend for his composition. My friend refused to give it to him, so I loudly (a little too loudly) proclaimed that his dingo ate it (you know, my dog ate my homework). Then I asked if the 2nd poem was a political statement. The teacher asked me how it was, and I sputtered just one glorious word: Bush. Well, it was the first word... Despite the poet being dead for about a 100 years... I was in quite a crazy mood, so yeah... Holidays are upon me! I'm gonna have to do quite a lot of work though. Firstly, on the first Sunday back to school, we have a Year 10 music recital, of which I'm performing in. Crap. Then there's a whole bunch of assignments due in, and da da da dum... My piano exam on the 4th of Nov. Closely after it comes the IGCSE Science exams (O levels) on the 6th, 7th and 9th of Nov. Great. I've got to mug my ass off right before my birthday. At least I don't have to mug on my birthday. I am so bored... 12:53 PM
