I can't believe a month has flown by without me doing much. Well, I did tutor till 2 weeks ago, so I guess half my hol was quite productive while the other half was... Not so. It's probably one of the first times I haven't had a slight twinge of longing for school to start again. No, I'm not the crazy kind of person who is very enthusiastic about learning. Just that the previous hols have always felt very boring but this one hasn't! Possibly because I really need(ed) the break. Tutoring and studying at the same time really isn't easy at all, as much as some people think it is. Besides the fact that tutoring does require brainwork, it takes me 45 minutes to get home from the school (my old school) and so I get home at dinner time nearly every day (except friday). It leaves me both really tired and unable to study, which is why I was rather surprised and happy with my grades. And it's because of this that I've had to cut down hours for tutoring. I've cut 2 students down, so that's 2 hours less a week, which is quite a lot I guess. I'm hoping one of my other students doesn't want to increase hours or I'll be screwed. On another topic, our farmstay/short getaway was quite uninteresting, besides the fact that maisy went on a holiday for the first time in her doggy life! I think she enjoyed it, although she was very scared and apprehensive when we first got there! But I highly doubt country life is for her and us. She didn't like the animals (kept growling at them, especially the pony!), and was rather uninterested in any of them (except the cat, which she liked. She likes cats). The people running the farm were really nice though. And they had alpacas! First time I've seen alpacas. They're quite cute... Apparently their fur's better than wool! Except there're too few alpacas in Australia (they're native to Chile) for the market. Lol. It was quite an uneventful stay. On our second day there, it rained, so we were stuck indoors for half the day. And it's just a small country town (York) with close to nothing to see/do, so... And the tv sucked! There were so few channels because it was in the country, so there was either crappy shows or shows that were aired so long ago in the city that we couldn't remember them. So we watched those shows. HAHA. Speaking of maisy... She went to the dentist on Wednesday and got 5 teeth out. The poor little girl :(. She was all drowsy and weird when we picked her up in the afternoon (dropped her off in the morning). She had a blood test and was under anaesthesia and so on and so forth. She's alright now though, which is a huge relief. It made me rather scared of getting my own wisdom teeth out. :S Oh well. Uni starts in about 1 day, since it's past midnight now. Sigh... 12:04 AM
