I am currently on a 1 month holiday which started 3 days ago after my last end of semester exam! That's if I passed all my units and don't have to go back for any supplementary exams. I really sincerely hope I passed, though there is one unit (foundations of animal and human biology. More colloquailly known as FAHB) I am currently doubtful about (according to the unit coordinators, they are usually quite merciful and pass the majority of the cohort but for about 5 out of 200 people. Given my luck, I could well be one of the 5).

Besides that, I thought my exams were quite alright but for a few hiccups. The first written exam was unfortunately FAHB, which screwed my confidence level 540degrees around, since I'd studied the most for it and still was screwed. Fortunately, the rest of the exams (except for the FAHB lab) were quite alright. Chinese was a huge surprise though. I walked into the exam and to my horror, I was told I was only allowed 1 dictionary, not the original english-chinese and chinese dictionaries we were told. The local (and admitedly, 'real') students had a combined dictionary. So... I guess I passed, but not very well?

I guess the 2nd worst exam was molecules, genes and cells (MGC, or really, just biochem). I finished with half the time (which most people did), but didn't have much confidence in my answers. Ah well.

Anyway, exams are OVER! O.V.E.R! I guess I can at least say I've completed 1 semester of med out of 12 (haha, sounds more demoralising actually)? Even though I might not have passed...

It's a shame med has a rule that if you fail even 1 unit (that means even chinese, which was my elective), I'd have to repeat the entire year. Gah.

I'd better go sleep. I'll blog again soon! Am tutoring tomorrow. I'm kind of glad some of my students have cut down on hours, because I feel like I can't really cope (I only started studying for exams 1 week before they started!) and I feel bad that some of them are spending so much money on unnecessary hours. My year 10 student used to have 4 hours a week (2 hours on Tues and Thurs), but she's since cut down to just 2 hours on 1 day I think. Honestly, there wasn't enough work to cover that many hours.

And I'm planning to pass 1 of my students to Keisha, because from next sem, I think my year 8 student may be increasing her hours, and I'll go to her house (as originally planned. Because I haven't gotten my license, and am planning to do so during the hols). I'll try to cut my hours down to either 2 or 3 days, instead of 4 days of tutoring. At least I'll have either a day for a break, or to catch up on study. I don't think next sem's work will be as easy as this sem's (seeing I had a slack unit of chinese. LOL).

Okies, I'm off to bed!
