As some of you know, I had to go for a medical checkup for the family's permanent residency application on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday's checkup had a blood test that many of you also know I was mortally afraid of. I think I had to right to be frightened. And those of you who said it didn't hurt, you are LIARS. Humph. It still hurt on Wednesday. Probably because my veins suck. The lady (who was a nice, Filipino aunty) was feeling for my veins and went 'you don't have good vein', which gave me some cause for celebration, because I initially heard it as 'you have good vein'. In surprise, I said 'I do?' because I could barely see my own vein and she said 'no no, your vein very bad, very tiny!'. As expected, I cringed. Childish as it might have sounded, I asked if it hurt. The lady said no, and that she had to use a baby needle for my baby vein. She lied, as did the rest of the people who said it didn't hurt. Bah. Thankfully, the rest of the checkup wasn't as bad. The height taking was crap though. I think the nurse was so short that she couldn't see the measurement, and she put me down as 164cm. The last time I went for a medical (which was about 2 years ago now), I was 166cm. Geez. I'm still very worried about tomorrow. Probably more so than for the blood test the other day, and likewise, I think I have a reason to worry. I don't think I did very well in any of my exams... Sigh. I might just go write my eulogy now before getting slaughtered by my teachers and parents... :( 4:45 PM
