Maisy's gone to work with my mum because my mum booked an 'appointment' with one of her little doggy friends for a 'play session'. That really does sound hilarious.

This week (or rather yesterday) has been pretty disasterous. Got my physics test back last Thurs, and hist yesterday. Worst tests in the whole year, though well, I'll admit they weren't that bad. 37.5/50 for the physics, 18/25 (blargh. Even Ms Koh gave me better marks than that) for the hist.

Had a headache yesterday, spent the morning in Confirmation service for 13 members of our school. Missed half of geom and trig for that, so I'm not complaining.

Piano yesterday was kind of disasterous as well. I wasn't myself (as you guys probably gathered already), and Gaby was really pissed off with my refusal to sing. I don't know why I don't want to sing (might be some deeply rooted traumatising event that I'm not aware of or something), and I wanted to apologise to her for it because well, I don't think I'm worth the effort. Oh well.

Got my piano exam dates though. 29th of Oct *shudders in fear*. It's about 6 weeks away, which is really terrifying. School exams are 8 weeks away too *shudders even more*. It's kind of strange... The year's passed so quickly. I guess work does help pass time quicker (and without thinking about stuff too much).

It's easier to do trigonometric identities than wonder about the meaning of life and get all depressed. Or it's easier to differentiate algebriac expressions than get talked into being a lawyer/doctor by the family. Speaking about that, it happened over Sunday's lunch, and was quite horrible. It ended with me proclaiming in frustration that I was going to be a kebab seller (yeah, no prizes for where the idea came from), and the family's frustration at paying such huge amounts of money for a kebab seller.

And I should stop procrastinating and start that dratted lit essay that's due TOMORROW. I've had so many assignments, I don't know which ones to start with, resulting in the majority of them being left undone. I've got my lit due tmr and physics due on fri (finished the ppt, left with the 'speech', bibliography and notes) and done the rest (except for 2 pages of the geom and trig).

I'd admit doing my lit essay in the comfort of the computer (and Maisy, when she gets home) is way better than roasting under the sun at a sports meet.

Oh, and I finished that maths talent quest thingum (which I won the State competition due to a FLUKE) last week. It's been sent off, which is a really HUGE relief. I'm pretty confident I won't win anything this time :). No speeches to worry about (haha, Gaby will definitely beg to differ), so I can get back to being nerdy and reading up about Euler and other famous mathematicians on Wikipedia when I get the time (aka: never). (Did you really think I'd do such a thing?)
