Anyway, justa quick post now. I promise a longer one sometime in the near/far future. I called my previous piano teacher (Inna/Mrs Fursa, as some of you would remember) on Fri because it was her birthday! We spent 45 mins on the phone while her daughter (as I imagined) tugged on her skirt as she wanted to go to bed. She actually recognised my voice, despite me having not called for nearly half a yr (gee... Time does fly). And she could tell that I had a cold *is slightly spooked*. I used to think people couldn't recognise my voice on the phone. Maybe I was wrong. Hmm... It was also Maisy's birthday (I think I mentioned this) on Wed. We bought her 2 lamb steaks (she couldn't finish them: too much food) and she got this bag of presents from her doggy friend's owner (who frequents my mum's shop). The presents included a huge bag of treats, a toy (which she bit a huge hole in after playing with it for 15 mins), a pkt of dental bones and 2 bone treats. And we gave her another bag of treats, 2 new frisbees and a lot of tender loving care. HAHA. Too bad there aren't any doggy birthday cakes :(. Saturday was Teachers' Day! I smsed Ng, and guess what? She REPLIED. The first time in a million light years? Maybe not. Haha. And I asked if her email's still the same, and she said yes. So I might drop her an email over the weekend, if I remember/get the time. I do have 3 assignments to complete *sighs*. School's been horrible. I'll elaborate at the end. Anyway, I bought Gaby (my piano teacher, if some of you've forgotten) a Teachers' Day present. Went shopping on Sunday... Bought her one of those desert plants (which I thought was really pretty), and a box of Cadbury Roses. And no, the plant WASN'T a CACTUS. I would have gotten her one, but it's got negative connotations. And this desert plant (it's just me not to have asked the name of it) supposedly has pretty red flowers, so I thought she'd like it. And I thought flowers/chocs were a bit too typical, so I went for something more unusual. When I told some of my classmates I bought Gaby a plant, they were like 'A PLANT?!'. What's wrong with that? Humph. I thought she'd like them, and I think unusual presents are more interesting than typical ones. Oh, in case you were wondering, Aussies don't celebrate Teachers' Day. Probably why they're experiencing a teachers shortage now *snickers*. Well, it's more probable that they wouldn't want to teach devil incarnates like me. School's been quite terrible really, other than piano lessons. Physics test was disastrous, and history today was like the apocalypse. I think I misinterpreted the first source, which would really be the end of a gd test mark. Argh. I don't get the whole Nazi thing. They're just a bunch of weirdoes who somehow got together and came up with a chunk of weirdo ideas that caused the deaths of millions. On the bright side, we got our research essays (yes, the ones I spent nearly 15 hours over the weekend before it on). I actually did well for the actual essay, but bombed out on the notes (which were horribly rushed). I thought it wouldn't be gd, as I got to class 15 mins late after running around the school attempting to find a printer that printed. I'm not complaining about 28.5/35 for the whole thing (21.5/25 for the essay, which is one of the best I've ever gotten). Woots. And also, today, I solved the challenge ques at the end of the Maths textbk exercise! And I did it quicker than the teacher! She did say that she helped other people with their questions, but she started earlier than I did. Humph. I've got 2 weeks to do my physics oral assignment, as well as start re-researching and improving on that Maths thingum which is going for that national competition. *sighs* This is one of the times you wish you nvr won it. And I've got my piano exam in mid-oct to Nov to worry about too. *tears hair out in chunks* Looks like I'll be kissing my holidays gdbye. I'M GONNA FAIL ALL MY TESTS AND EXAMS AND WHAT NOTS. ARGH. *goes into stress attack* I'll just worry about these last 3 weeks of term. I have got that physics ass, maths project, chem test, intro calculus ass, geom and trig ass, geom and trig test, intro calculus test and a whole bunch of other stuff to worry about. *eyes start to roll in sockets, body goes into spasms* As such, I think that's enough reasons why I probably won't be blogging much in the next 3 weeks. And also, I should go and do my hw then go to bed before I collapse from sheer exhaustion. And I did say this would be a short post, but I guess I was wrong (as I always am). On a final note, I'm sorely jealous that you guys have got hols (maybe not those who're taking the Os) while I'm dying over here. Also, gd luck to all who've got exams after the hols (which is probably all of you). Fine, I'm out of here. 10:19 PM
