Wow. What a long hiatus. It's a miracle the tagboard's still alive.

I AM SICK. AND ON A HOL OF ALL THE 365 DAYS OF THE YEAR. Arrgh. Just can't believe my 'luck'.

I lost half my voice on Wed night, it recovered a little yesterday, but disappeared completely this morning. It gives me an excuse for not practicing aurals for piano though. Rethinking that however, aurals are much more desirable.

Thurs was hellish. If there hadn't been 2 tests and some meeting with this ex-maths-teacher (who smelt like apple pie) about my maths talent quest/project thing that won the State comp and is going for the nat comp, I wouldn't have gone to school. I wish I hadn't. My tests weren't very well done (in my humble opinion) as the whole time, it felt like someone was trying to shove a stick down my throat. But it was nice, because for once, I was the chronic test-cougher. *snickers*

What's a chronic test-cougher? Sadly, you won't find it in your Oxford or Macquarie or God-knows-what dictionary, but according to my dictionary (no prizes for guessing the author), it's the person who coughs regularly and distracts the h*ll out of everyone and uncontrollably and causes distraction to others. For once, I was on the giving end, not the receiving :).

Oh oh, I found a white/grey hair :(. The whole thing's totally white/grey/brownish. Argh. Guess I should relieve the amount of stress I put on myself, but I CAN'T. I have that talent quest thing to do, a physics oral to prepare for, a physics test, and a whole long list of other things to do. *tears hair out in clumps* One saving grace is that I did well in my chem test, despite missing quite a number of key lessons for piano. I got 40/42, which is 96%. :D Was shocked, but delighted.

Argh. Found another really light-brownish hair. They really stand out because my hair is so black :(. I don't think I should pull them out. According to some ancient long, white-bearded man, pulling them out makes them grow even quicker. It's almost claiming that your scalp knows that vanity, thy name is woman. *snorts derisively, but still doesn't dare to pull hairs out*

Oh well. I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. (Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock, by T.S Eliot)

I wonder what will happen when we all grow old. Will we take a look at each other on the street and burst out laughing, cracking our fragile spines by doing so? Will we attempt to count our wrinkles and realised that they, like the stars, are uncountable? Or shall we attempt to hide it under a facade of foundation and eye liner and hair dye...

Or will we be able to preserve ourselves with injections of cellulite? Pay a visit to the botox-administer every week? Just how many of us would succumb to the vanity of humankind?

I for one, hope I won't be amidst those people, seeing as I do not even know how to put a stick of makeup on my face.

Darwin, Darwin, Darwin. I wonder if he foresaw us doing such things. I'm guessing he classified it under evolution.

Oh, the wonders of the world.

And the wonder of thinking with a clear head, which has unfortunately deserted me, thus resulting in this eccentric post. It is indeed not a good time to post when you have a chronic headache, cough and cold. In short, never ever be a chronic 'ger'. *winks*

P.S: All the best to all exam-sitters! I hope you'll never encounter a chronic exam-cougher like me. :) And I would really start to worry if any of you saw this because that would mean that you have deserted your current 'mission' to entertain a silly post as this.
