301st post! Right, inane...

Anyway, just read Peirong's blog, and I suppose I've been rather mean about the aussies, but well... I've stopped it. Thanks to Peirong for giving me 'special insights' (no sarcasm) about how the people may feel if they heard/saw what I'd said (fortunately, no one knows my blog from aus except Ollie, who isn't in my year:)).

I just found the rap we did for the 'interpretation of the word "novel"' in LA at the start of last year. Accurately, the 11th of Jan. I was just thinking about it, and decided to go through my email account, when -lo and behold- it appeared! *rejoices*

Dinner time. I suppose I'll lengthen this later.

*Part 2*

I don't suppose anyone comes to this blog anymore, but it's probably just something to allow me to pass my time..

Well, I don't have much to add on, so there!

Here's the 'rap' anyway.

Rudolph (Copyrights of Xinrong, Jolene, Pamelia, Mingyi and Sheena. Copy it, and meet your doom.)

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
Had a lot of things to fear.
One was people making fun of his nose,
Which looked a lot like a red red rose.

All the other reindeers called him names,
They never let him join their games.
But all lil' Rudolph wanted to do,
Was to go to Nanyang Girls' High School.

Mdm Mak wouldn't let him in,
Saying having boys in the school was a sin.
Poor Rudolph was very sad,
And he said that Mdm Mak was very bad.

Mdm Mak sent him to the SPCA,
And left him there to decay.
He resigned himself to his fate,
Thinking that he was past his expiry date.

And there he met a couple of friends,
Who taught him about the latest trends.
From William Hung to Britney Spears,
And how to deal with peers and fears.

From there he regained his confidence,
And went to the Singapore Idol auditions.
He met Gurmit Singh, who ushered him in,
Where the judges asked him to start singing.

He poured out his deepest woes,
And complained about his wicked foes.
Then he sang about his friends,
And how they lent their helping hands.

His sincere delivery touched the judges,
After they heard of all his grudges.
I can't remember it all today,
But here is what he had to say.

"Let me now introduce myself,
I have just come out from hell.
I am Britney Rudolph Hung,
Please tell me your comments after I have sung.

My peers treated me like a freak,
Saying I was a big fat geek.
Even my mommy insulted me,
So I want to prove myself and let them see.

Mdm Mak wouldn't let me in,
Since my aggregate was below two-seventy.
It's not fair just cos I'm a guy,
She threw me out and left me to die.

Now I'm back and better than before,
I'm all ready to bounce back after my fall.
Let me in for just this once,
Please give me another chance.

Please make an exception, please you must,
I promise I won't make your school go bust.
Let me in in class 2/3,
It's the best that I can see.

They have some good quality teachers,
And not just some useless preachers.
The 2/3 students are the very best-
They're a cut above the rest.

Well I did my best,
And have no regrets.
This may seem like drivel,
But that's why I'm a novel!"

The judges were all very impressed,
They said that he was the very best.
He was crowned the first Singapore Idol,
And Mdm Mak gave him a gold medal.

She finally agreed to take him in,
And Rudolph's new life was about to begin.
But before entering Nanyang Girls' High,
He thanked his friends with a tearful goodbye.

A few years later he wrote a novel,
The title was "I'm a novel!"
He became as famous as Britney Spears,
And William Hung among his peers.

Now it's a happy ending for all,
Rudolph had climbed up after his fall.
So we should learn from him,
Hope is as bright as a sunbeam.
