Before my absymal memory loosens its grip on this, let me say it out first. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY! Since most of you do not celebrate Thanksgiving, and perhaps not even know what Thanksgiving Day is, let me explain it. As Zeena had already kindly stated on her blog, it's celebrated on the fourth Thursday of the month. Thanksgiving Day is most celebrated in the United States/Canada (Irene, does this rake up any memories? Canada's is on the 2nd Monday of October, which is Columbus Day in America), and is, as the name goes, a celebration of thanksgiving to thank God for the autumn bounty. If you all remember this particular episode from Mr Bean, you would remember him attempting futilely to stuff a turkey, and end up having his watch and eventually his head stuck in it. Incidentally, if you all did not notice, it was for Thanksgiving Dinner with his girlfriend. Actually, there was a similar episode on 'Friends'... I think the only person I've talked to or wished 'Happy Thanksgiving Day' to and known it was actually Thanksgiving Day/what it is is the *drum roll* one... And only... ZEENA TAN! I'm glad I have such a friend... No offence to others though! That's all I suppose. Shall go update the satire. 9:51 PM
