First, allow me to address the taggers. To Bao, Claire and Jiamin: Thanks alot for your compliments, though I find myself unworthy of them... After all, I am but a lowly minion... Kidding! Marissa: If you must say so... March onwards my comrades! Sorry for the inane remarks/comments, but I am feeling rather 'wonky' at the moment. Not because I've just watched Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka (FYI: The movie only opens NEXT FRIDAY here. WOW... How fast is that?), but just because I have always been insane. I miss my meepok tah and fish otah in Singapore! Yes, I know this is really bizarre, but well... It's so different here! Back home, you can just slip on your slippers and go to the coffee shop... "Uncle (in an ahsoh voice), char kway teoy (or God-knows-what the spelling is) mai chilli, mai ham... tao gay more". That's actually from the National day rally, for those who didn't watch it. It was the video PM Lee showed us, and it's called "tao gay not enough". It was quite amusing actually... But, it is actually such things that make us (in)famous, that distinguish us as Singaporeans. And I am proud of being a Singaporean. Apparently, meepok tah and fish otah are just metaphors of what I love Singapore for, what I appreciate in her. As the saying goes, "abscence makes the heart fonder". Ending this off with a quote from the rally once more: Go where your spirit wants to go. And to those who didn't watch it: You should be quite ashamed of yourselves, since there were many important points in it, and even though I am not there, I still watched it (not telling you how, since it's only reserved for me), and moreover, it concerns you directly. Enough of this. 7:16 PM
